Viking Convention, starting construction and SEW much more!

The time sure has flown since I last wrote....SEW much has happened.

Pat, Nick and I drove to Minneapolis for the annual Viking convention and got certified in the new 5D Professional software and the QuiltSewCelver for the mid-arm.  Pat worked the controls and did so well!  He thought it was very easy!  WooHoo!  Nick hung out at the hotel and in town which kept him out of our hair.    Pat was so awesome through the whole convention and even made friends!

After convention, we drove by Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse in South Dakota.  If you have never been to see either one (within 20 min of each other), you really should.  Such a beautiful site!

The week after we returned, construction meetings and construction actually got started in the store.  Sewer and water lines for the bathroom and kitchen were first.

Two days ago, they poured the cement and hung to vent-work for the heating/cooling system. It really is starting to look like a store.

The developers put up the awnings and soon the lighted sign will go up above.

Al has been working on the cutting table, which seems huge, but I am sure won't be as big as we think once we get it into the store.  Pat helped him make 2 of the fabric shelves.... only 20 more to go......

More to come tomorrow...I am going out to take more pictures.....I am getting tired of paperwork and meetings!  Time to take pictures and sew for a while!
